Larry King is an unrepentant adulterer going way back.
When he held the overnight airtime now dominated by Kooks To Kooks, he used to play a monologue he’d recorded where he recalled being a radio DJ in Florida.
One night he got a call from a listener “my husband’s not here, I’m lonely. Come on over”. He cued up a long playing album and drove on over.
On his way back, he could hear the record skipping skipping skipping....
He came into the studio and the phone was ringing. He answered the phone and it was an elderly listener. The caller was angry about the skipping record “from the nights” or some phrase repeating. Larry said, “Well why didn’t you just change the dial?”
“I’m an invalid and I can’t get out of bed!”
I have heard that story. Funny, except for the fact that it speaks volumes about his lack of control and morals. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. I just don’t know how he has been able to attract so many women. Must be the gift of gab, money, or exceptional sexual ability and technique. Anyone’s guess.
