I wouldn’t be surprised if the Russian Federation had some special operations assets in CONUS. Probably not a whole lot. Most of that sort of thing probably gets done in the US by whatever the GRU is calling itself these days. It’s more up their alley.

I remember that discarded equipment with Cyrillic markings used to turn up in Alaska from time to time, way back when. The putative target -if things had gone hot- would’ve likely been the Alaska Pipeline.

From what I’ve read the Spetsnaz would hold a graduation excercise by infiltrating Alaska. Probably part of their regular drill as well.
