A “Gingrich surge?” Gag.
michellemalkin.com ^ | 4/14/10 | Michelle Malkin

Where’s my migraine headache medicine?

Matthew Continetti at the Weekly Standard sifts through CNN poll numbers and finds that Newt Gingrich has “surge[d] into the top tier of presidential prospects.”

I was amused to hear Gingrich ripping Barack Obama’s “secular, socialist machine” at the SRLC last week and condemning the “most radical administration in history.”

This from a man who had no qualms going on the road with the most radical administration in history’s Education Secretary and one of the nation’s most poisonous race-hustling demagogues, Al Sharpton, a few months ago to promote the illusion of school reform.

How many radical left-wingers does Newt Gingrich have to sit on a couch with before Republicans realize he is the past, not the future?

I’ll repeat what I said when the Newt for 2012 bandwagon started rolling last fall:

The conservative base is wising up and pushing back. And constantly invoking Reagan isn’t going to erase the damage Gingrich has done to his brand over the years by wavering on core issues and teaming up with some of the Left’s biggest clowns.

Picture the cabinet:

Al Sharpton as education secretary.

Scozzafava as labor secretary.

Al Gore as global warming czar.

Noooooo, thanks.

Newt jumped the shark long ago. Establishment rinos keep him around to seem “conservative”.

The liberal, state run "media" has gone into full selection mode in their drive to pick the 2012 GOP nominee for us. They gave us McCain in 2008 and they're ready to help us again. We're so lucky!

I could too, but Sarah has way better legs.
Both of them aren’t afraid of telling it like it is, although Newt is so stained with his butt-kissing of the left in the past years.
Is there some way we could get his historical knowledge and Sarah’s common sense blended together?
This is the time when we need a VERY STRONG Party Patriarch to get all these potential candidates together and tell them to get their Conservative credentials together...and tell McPane and Grahmnesty et al RINOS to dry up and blow away.

WE THE PEOPLE are in charge now.

I might let Newt swab out my crapper. Maybe.

But vote for him? NEVER. Not even for dog catcher.

Are they going to pick our candidate again? I’m terrified, they’re already pushing Huck, Newt, & Romney.

Color me a rebel but I want Sarah.

Getting 2 or 3 calls a week from Newt to ask a question or listen to a message. Endless. He must have tapped into the Soros funding machine to pay for all of this potentially giving Soros BOTH candidates, a One-worlder’s wet dream.

Newt has quick lips for the one-liners on TV, but his welcome is GONE at my house.

Isn’t this the same strategy that made McLame ‘The Contender” overnight? One week is down in the polls and all but washed up on the sandy beach, then an unexplained surge in the polls makes him the front runner?
Newt is RINO, RINO is Newt (RINO == Newt). May he have a nice retirement in California, visiting Pelosi’s vineyards while fighting GW!

Me too because non of the others can win against BO’s party population....Only Sarah has that appeal and unfortunately we learned thru Bo that the public will vote for the prettiest one like they did Bo.

Can you imagine the youth voting for newt? They see him as grampa...huck is just plain to mild, no backbone,..and romeny’s a rino and EVERYONE knows it...so Sarah is the only one that has the popularity appeal.

The gop needs to get some fresh blood out there instead of this same ol’ buddy system. The are operating like highschool student council for crying out loud!
