Am under 35 and love them, though the heartburn afterwards is horrible. Sardines in mustard sauce on saltines are a great afternoon snack.

My dad taught me the same recipe: mustard, vinegar, and sardines mushed into a paste and served on saltines. My boys and I love them.

MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmm..... Although, I must say that I prefer the ones in hot sauce. Wash it down with a cold Moxie, and you've got a good meal, right there.

Makes my wife gag. That's part of the fun, too.

I'm under 50 and love sardines. They're an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids.

Here's an easy way to avoid the heartburn. Take a 10mg or 20mg famotidine (Pepsid AC) pill 15 to 30 minutes prior to eating something that causes an acid stomach. If your stomach is already acid, take famotidine plus some antacids to neutralize the acid already in your stomach.
