In February 1945, three world leaders -- FDR, Stalin and Churchill -- gathered in Yalta, in Crimea, to discuss the fate of post-war Europe. At that conference, FDR signed away half of Germany, all of Poland, enslavement of the German population to the Soviet Union. While the conference suggested that liberated countries would be granted free elections, no enforcement mechanism was put in place, so the Soviets effectively annexed every piece of land they occupied.
FDR insisted he had not been duped. "Poor Neville Chamberlain believed he could trust Hitler," FDR said days after the conference. "He was wrong. But I don't think I'm wrong about Stalin." FDR was wrong about Stalin, of course. But he had reason to be wrong -- he had been misinformed by his own supposed allies. Soviet agent Alger Hiss worked as part of the American delegation at Yalta; communist superspy Kim Philby and the rest of the so-called "Cambridge Five" funneled papers from the British and the Americans regarding their positions on Poland.
So it's fair to let FDR off the hook, at least minimally, for Yalta.
Not so with President Obama. He is busily Yalta-ing the United States and her allies knowing full well that the free world will suffer for it.
The man is an a## on wheels puppeted by the shadow elitists, marxists, socialists and cesspool scum of the world who are now directing traffic to a cataclismic pileup. Time is not on our side, we the people must push these cretons back into the cesspool.
Well, no. FDR deliberately surrounded himself with Communist agents. And it was obvious to the dullest eye what kind of guy Stalin was.
Yes, Obama is deliberately betraying everything our country stands for. He is on the side of evil. But so, I'm afraid, was FDR. Send tens of millions of allies and innocents to the Death Camps? No Problem!
No need to make FDR look better than he was just to make Obama look worse. Obama is incredibly evil. Period.
The man is an a## on wheels.True he’s like a bad mechanic who doesn,t understands how the car works so he just keeps changing parts until it works.
And Churchill minced no words in saying so, to FDR and others.
Roosevelt was very ill at Yalta, and his judgment may well have been affected ... but he very consciously acted as he did, for post-war geopolitical reasons. He realized, correctly, that the US and USSR would be the de facto rulers of the post-world, and he was determined to deal with them on that basis.
He was wrong in his approach, of course -- and Churchill correctly predicted the consequences. Thankfully, Truman responded correctly when Stalin's ambitions became obvious.
Did you ever notice whatever a person’s position is on any subject ...he/she always has confirming ideas about it. Which are often not subject to review, no matter the reams of opposing information.
That goes for politics, all sides, religion, all faiths, denominations, etc.
Roosevelt was, what we are calling a ‘progressive’, Marxist, today.
God help us in our day, in Jesus name, amen.
He took a crisis and did not ‘waste it’
