Pit maverick Republican Congressman Ron Paul against President Obama in a hypothetical 2012 election match-up, and the race is – virtually dead even.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of likely voters finds Obama with 42% support and Paul with 41% of the vote. Eleven percent (11%) prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.
Do you have any facts regarding Paul that makes him deserve what I have to look at as a smear? I’ve been asking througout this thread for facts and haven’t seen one yet. It’s bizarre. Now I haven’t read all the posts yet, I’m at 50 and there are 70 now . . . but geez.

And Perot at least had the good sense to run in his own Party (The Reform Party) and not as a Republican. Paul with his so ‘Not-Republican’ ideologies pretends to be a Republican when he is more in line with the Lyndon Larouchers and even Code Pink.
We share similar views. I am now just getting curious about the strong reaction against him. I suspect it’s a Free Republic thing since no one actually supports anything they say with any facts. Echo chamber.

All the facts we need is what is written on Ron Paul Forums. They are discussing amongst themselves coordinated attacks on Palin and any conservative moving up the ranks of 2012 possibilities. This is no different than what we see from the TEA Party crashers.
Ron Paul is no Ronald Reagan. But Reagan was hated and ran very low in the polling before his first election for president that succeeded. In fact, he was positioned like Sarah Palin is now. Ron Paul is just a media darling. He's loved as much as Ralph Nader is.
The second part of the statement is part and parcel of the first for Paul. It's not like extended military engagements don't require spending of taxpayer money or result in smaller government. Debt is debt regardless of whether it's spent on interminable welfare programs or interminable wars.

I’ve never supported Paul. You folks aren’t willing to do any work to support your opinions. Means you don’t have the facts available. Don’t know them, which probably means you are just reacting spouting off. This is the second thread in a week or two where I’ve asked for a fact. Any fact. None.

Don’t you wish mainstream Republican’s would talk to thier acquantences about Republican candidates? How else will the MSM’s dominance over information in a lot of peoples lives be broken? We can’t count on the last 2 weeks of an election when we run ads to get the word out.
