Pit maverick Republican Congressman Ron Paul against President Obama in a hypothetical 2012 election match-up, and the race is – virtually dead even.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of likely voters finds Obama with 42% support and Paul with 41% of the vote. Eleven percent (11%) prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.
Christ said you think it you do it. It was not a win/win.

They don’t want facts because they are allergic to facts and immune to logic. This is like dealing with a cult. Ever know someone in Scientology? Same pathology. Paul has engendered this kind of following among some folks who misguidedly consider themselves conservative. Trying to convince them otherwise is a waste of time. However, making fun of them can provide for some solid entertainment.
As I said before, we weren't even talking to the guy, and we weren't even talking about politics. He butts into our converstion about sports if I remember correctly and starts talking about Ron Paul.

I do like to throw out insults. Any time someone trots out their clown I automatically get the message. We are supposed to laugh at him. If you want to be liked, join the liberals. They are more afraid of being excluded from the club than any peer pressure is to most children in elementary schools.

I hear you. I actually think we’d be fine if we worried about domestic policy and didn’t have the inverventionist military. If we had small government we’d be so rich and so powerful we’d be light years ahead of any possible attacker, including al queda.

Just an anybody but Obama response.
There was a poll by CNN a couple of weeks ago that showed an unnamed Republican was tied with Obama.
In a CNN poll out yesterday, Hillary has a more favorable rating than Obama does (61/57)
Today Obama and “BushHitler” are virtually tied (48/46)
This poll is more a NO to Obama than yes to Paul.
I would have thought the same thing, but I saw polls a few days ago showing Obama beating the other Republican contenders by wide margins.
I never argue on these Paul threads, but this piqued my interest. How would being "so rich and so powerful" have curtailed al qaeda activity? Just curious.
