"Having said that, he’s gone off the deep end because of his inability to get elected."

So, we have come to the point where a popularity contest determines the viability of an idea?

I’ve come to the point that Alan Keyes’ constant carping has become annoying. Michael Steele is a dolt, he’s demonstrated that in oh so many ways. I’d like to see him gone myself. But, to spin giant conspiracies out of a potential, Republican Presidential hopeful making statements of support is ridiculous. She won’t be viable if she comes out and says what Keyes thinks she should say.

The man is a cartoon. He’s not helping, he pushes hot buttons so hard they’re breaking. That no doubt does him some good as far as income from those who agree with him, and I’ve agreed with him on more than one occasion. It’s not language for public consumption, though. If National Lampoon were to concoct a satirical conservative, well, there’s no need. There’s Alan Keyes, bellowing away, pushing ketchup-covered babydolls around in a carriage.
