Dear God...why didn’t the GOP run Alan Keyes in 2008?! The man is apparently unafraid to candidly speak the truth.

I don’t think I’ve heard her spend a single word criticizing anyone on the GOP side.

She saves all her fire for the Dems and the O. She seems to take a fair amount of “friendly” fire, but she shrugs it off. Her focus is on the Dems.

You have a short memory. The GOP did run Keyes against Obama in 2004. Obama won 70-29% and was established as a media superstar.

Easy to do when you’re talking from the sidelines. Don’t get me wrong, I liked a lot of what Alan Keyes’ was about during his last run but I would assume that when you’re not actually running, you can pretty much adopt a “damn the torpedoes” approach. Unless you’re Ronald Reagan. ;-)

Alan is right.

I like Sarah but this article does put things in perspective IMO.

Why not run Alan?

He is a Conservative Catholic.
He is not what the culture of death/greed/selfishness/sex anytime/GLAD/Liberals/socialists/fenced GOPers ect want for a President.

The GOP nomenklatura distrust and dislike Keyes, as he is considered (and can be) a loose cannon. He does not wear the party yoke well, and ironically is therefore more loyal.

His inverse is Colin Powell. ‘Loyal’, teamplayer, respectful, prudent and measured - and a backstabbing rat.

Keyes - not Hannity - was the first to warn the general public what a twisted radical BO is, principally with reference to the BAIPA saga. Right or wrong, Keyes pulls no punches. He therefore terrifies the business as usual ruminants.

I was proud to vote for Keyes in the primary, even though it was a no hope situation. I have always liked him.

I disagree with his assessment of Palin, however.

I believe that the fix was in, the Republican candidate had to be someone who wasn’t a natural born citizen. McCain was born in a public hospital in the city of Colon, Republic of Panama. He was unable to challenge Obama’s eligibility and if any Republican did so, then facts about McCain would be dragged into the political limelight.

At the time I thought it truly odd that McCain took the lead so quickly and no one was truly able to catch up to him. Later I discovered that George Soros had been donating money to McCain. It is truly troubling.

For me, the fact that Palin is associating with McCain tells me all I need to know about her politics.

Alan Keyes had his chance for fame when he ran against Barack Obama for the Senate in Illinois. He ran one of the worst campaigns in American political history, and lost in a humongous blowout.

Alan Keyes is an idiot, and a very mean and nasy man.

It was a Urriah the Hittite moment on the part of the GOP.

They meant for Keyes to be obliterated in a hopeless run.

Extremely unlikely he can be voted out so he’s there until he quits or his term is up. No harm giving him a stroke. Maybe he’ll start to agree with her on issues.

Why not run Alan?

Because he and his nutbag buddy Gary Kreep have made several million in "non-profit" contributions magically vanish.

She has to - the Rat & RINO plan is to turn her into a Perot, split the GOP, and thereby open the door for a focused Rat victory. It is precisely McCain and Steele and their ilk who are most anxious to use her in this way - and Sarah knows it, and is refusing to play into their hands.

She's just following the axiom, "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer," while the enemy is trying to get inside her OODA loop and sabotage her positions.

Agreed. You can tell who is really on our side by who supports REPUBLICANS and who seeks to sow dissent within the ranks.

I vote Republican. Obama is a pathetic idiot. And to any lurking Dems that don’t like it that is just too bad.

LOL!

George Soros has heavily donated money to John McCain’s think tank, called The Reform Institute.

Until it was taken off the internet, there was a long list of all the progressive institutions that gave McCain money, including those controlled by Mr. Soros.

And John Sydney McCain was born in the Republic of Panama, whether Republicans like it or not. The Panama Canal Zone was leased by the United States, it was never a territory and part of the United States.

As for the fix being in, well, who would have ever imagined someone like Barack Hussein Obama, community organizer born in Kenya, as our President?
