Villere opined that what started out as a peaceful protest was infiltrated by “professional agitators” who were in New Orleans to protest the Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC) that was held last weekend.
I emphasized the words "professional agitators." Were they SEIU people? Were they recruited by the Democrat Party? Did they stir up the crowd to inspire the idiot to brutally beat up participants?
FYI, I am Walter Abbott. And also FReeper “abb.” I did the interview with Mr. Villere. I served on the Louisiana GOP State Central Committee with him about 12 years ago.
We discussed what term to use - “professional agitators” was his choice of words to differentiate them from the local university types (University of New Orleans, etc.).
His opinion was that it was people who traveled to New Orleans specifically to protest the SRLC event.
