That's pretty weak.
The illegals have only rarely came forward as witnesses...if at all.

You nailed it. They all close ranks against "The Man". The police chiefs are political animals and toe the pro-illegal line while the rank and file, by and large, are fine with this new law.

Your right on that score and if the illegal immigrants don’t like it they can go back to Mexico and get in line like others do......then they will be welcome

What if a certain person that has had trouble proving his citizenship were to be asked by a law enforcement officer in Arizona to show he is a legal citizen?

Then he is going to be in a bit of trouble.

Someone of Hipsanic appearance is going to have to expect these kinds of things. That's because Liberals have had their way on this issue for so long. The way back is going to be painful for many people, especially Hispanic people, but that's no reason not to make the trip.

"What if a certain person that has had trouble proving his citizenship were to be asked by a law enforcement officer in Arizona to show he is a legal citizen? "

I'd guess that certain person would still have the same problem he or she had before getting busted for something else.

The sweet part of this new state legislation is that it is Arizona...I'd give a small bundle to see how McLame and Ms. Napolatino took the news!

PS: Arizona was my home of record, I love the place.
Except Phoenix.

“What if a certain person that has had trouble proving his citizenship were to be asked by a law enforcement officer in Arizona to show he is a legal citizen?”

Sorry, I should have been more specific, it should read “What if a certain President”

“police chief’s association opposed the bill, contending it could erode trust with immigrants who could be potential witnesses.”

We wouldn’t want to erode trust of law breakers. /s

what horsehockey.

Great news.

Man, it is so typical that the rank and file cops represent mainstream conservative thinking while the Chiefs are the worst of the leftist political whores and always support the lib socialists. So typical. I guess the rank and file cops can’t control their leadership any better than the unions can. What am I saying? We the voters can’t control our leadership any better.

Why is it the snot-nosed power-loving commie pukes rise to the top?

How do we stop this in unions, PDs AND government? I’ve had enough.

Hopefully Arizona’s law will send a message to D.C. to back off any thought of amnesty for illegal immigrants and set in motion a movement for other states to pass similar legislation.

“Immigrant rights groups were horrified, and contended that Arizona had just been transformed into a police state.”

There’s something about that sentence that makes me smile.
They’re HORRIFIED that the laws are actually going to be enforced! Imagine their shock of such inhumane treatment!
Glad to see AZ is stepping up to the plate once again. I live in IL. No hope or change here for me anytime soon. Just thug politics and tons of illegals.

Anyone know of a nice place in TN to move to?

Kudos to Arizona!.....they are stepping up against Illegal Alienism

The Illegal Alien groups do not like it......too bad. Enter the country legally, and there is no problem

I am sure John McCain will claim he supports...while under his breath he will be cussing out Arizonans as being “racist”

Please, Arizona, vote out that treasonous SOB John Hussein McCain.....

The bill mandates that police determine people's immigration status if there is a 'reasonable suspicion' they are undocumented.

The above wording would require police to investigate Obama should he ever be in Arizona.

Her dialect alone will be proof she is an American. Although she might be delayed from time to time. She will have to serve her country more than she has already. Give her my respects and thank her for her service.
