Sounded like pistol shots to me too, but maybe they were just warning the other people away to preserve the evidence at the crash site? That would make sense if the comments that lizol posted in #16 are correct:
As to my knowledge of Russian - the voices in the background shout Idi otsyuda!, which means - Go away. And the guy whos filming is saying Ni huya syebe which is a vulgar expression, something like Fu***g hell, or something like that.

Recording is indeed strange.
First - no voices, camera approaching wrackage. Then 1 shot. Voice (presumably of a cameraman) - WTF.
Then shortly a voice in the background ordering to attack (?!) 2 more shots.
Another WTF from a cameraman as he starts to move away.
One more shot and the voice in the background ordering to withdraw.

My Russian is a bit rusty but that is what I thought was being said as well.
As for the response time... I can’t comment on that. It totally depends on a lot of factors that we simply don’t have the information for.

It’s not “F***ing hell”. It a vulgar expression indeed, but indicating a shock and a very unpleasant surprise. Man says it twice - both times after hearing shots.
