Actually, this is not quite true. Using technology as a part of the business is sometimes permitted by the local bishop. Personal use is right out. The internet would also be out unless they have a website for a business co-owned by a non-Amish. You keep trying to establish my bona fides, but I ask you, would it matter if I weren't Christian? I have never staked any of my positions on theology. But I think that if I were not Christian that you would very much discount my views.

I think that it's dishonest for someone who uses a Christian denomination screen name, who isn't at all Christian himself, to be impugning the Christianity of those who actually ARE Christian.

In fact, I think you would dismiss me out of hand if I happened to be, oh, I don't know, Jooooooooooish. One thing about the Amish, they kinda like Jews. But I know somebody who doesn't...

Who... Murray Sabrin? Jewish son of two Holocaust survivors, former GOP Senate candidate in New Jersey, and one of Ron Paul's best friends?

No, wait, he loves Jews just fine -- seeing as he is one.

Incidentally, Senator Jim Bunning just endorsed Rand Paul over Trey Grayson.
Seeing that you're just a non-Christian troll with a dishonest Screen Name, it's nice to know that everything is falling apart for your team.

Hah, hah, hah. :-)

"I am proud to support great grassroots candidates like Dr. Paul....
Because he’s a federalist and he wants the states to have more say --
and as we respect the 10th Amendment in our Constitution,
he wants the states to have more say in a lot of these issues."

I realize that you don't get the sublime irony of the nick "AmishDude" and that your brain cannot wrap itself around the intentional notion of that irony.

It's subtle and takes an IQ of at least 70 to grasp. Also, my nick is around since well before Axelrod started his machinations. It was a simpler time.

I am well aware of the Bunning endorsement. But you must be mistaken if you think that I have any brief for Grayson himself.

I know who Ron Paul is. I know who his friends are. I know what they represent and I know what animates them. I know people see things in him that he isn't.

As to Murray Sabrin. You are correct about his background and he might be Ron Paul's best friend, but Barack Obama is his BFF:

As a son of Holocaust survivors I was very disturbed at Senator Joe Lieberman’s disingenuous attack on Senator Barack Obama’s foreign policy over the weekend. As the front-runner to run for the U.S. Senate from New Jersey I felt compelled to publicly comment about my disagreement.... In Liberty, Murray [May 13, 2008]

It's really funny how animated people who are only motivated by liberty and free-spending get over foreign policy. And how people who run for the Republican/Libertarian ticket so eagerly and reflexively defend Democrats. Of all of the things he could have chosen to make a comment on, he chose this.

I fully anticipate that Rand Paul will have a Dr. Strangelove/Debra Medina moment. If it happens before the general election, we will lose the seat. If it happens after it, we will be forced to endure the clown for 6 years.
