LOS ANGELES (AP) — A nurse who left her vehicle at a gas station to help a nearby accident victim was the victim of a carjacking and dragged about 20 yards after she tried to grab the keys, Los Angeles police said Monday.

The nurse, who police didn't identify, was filling up her car at the gas station near the city's Pico-Union neighborhood early Sunday when she saw another car hit a traffic signal pole, which then fell on a pedestrian, Officer Carlos Ortega said.

The good Samaritan nurse left the keys in her car and ran across the street to help, police said. But Deserie Guzman allegedly hopped in the nurse's car and started the engine.

When the nurse ran back, Guzman allegedly hit the gas, police said. The nurse was dragged until she fell, hit her head on the pavement and blacked out.

It’s the Ultra Crimson....beautiful weapon.

Are you referring to the Custom II? That is probably Kimber’s best value....basically the same gun that LAPD SWAT carries and is the plain jane gun which has all one could ever need. (There is also a Kimber Custom shop which makes guns)

It is beautiful. Not sure what he had now but it was pricey. I thought It was the top of the line custom whatever that was. Do you find it accurate? The short barrel on a .45 seems to take a special touch.

I only know it’s more accurate than I am;-)

In my dad’s hands, it a bullseye almost every time. In mine, well, let’s just say I need more practice;-)

I couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn with my brother’s. A standard 1911, is better but I’m sorely in need of practice.

Anyway that is one fine pistol you have. (it would be hard to miss anything if it’s a direct up close confrontation!)

It’s a bit more difficult for grannies to carry, son. I am not defenseless however, but I would not post that for public viewing.
