"Thanks for admitting you have no documentation for your false claims."

Claims not false. The reference is/was to a TV news story reported just a few days after Katrina. I specifically remember the story, because I was totally shocked with the concrete wall "levee" that was put in. The story said that the original design was to have an earthen berm behind the concrete to prevent "splash undercutting" if the concrete was overtopped. Residents didn't want their homes torn down to allow room for the berm, so they were forced to go with the cement "splash pad" behind the concrete. Which it turns out was not enough.

"What is the name of your family friend, the Army engineer? If he was involved in building those canal walls, we should be putting him on trial for criminal negligence and manslaughter."

The mans name was Rivers Kent. A great engineer and a great guy. But you'll play hell putting him on trial, because he has been dead for twenty-plus years. Probably after effects to the time he spent in a German POW camp, you asshole.

Yes, the Army Corps was feeding the television BS spin immediately the Federal Flood. The people they drowned were too busy to get their PR guys to call their friends at the networks.

Next time you seance up your engineer source; ask him about the very recent work the Army Corps and their contractors had done on their “Category 3” canal floodwalls, which had somehow always managed to hold in much stronger winds for almost 100yrs, since the city built them in the first place.
