It’s my understanding that the National Park Service undertakes to make a monument out of a president’s birth place pretty much as soon as they take office in their first term.

I've searched for George W. Bush's birthplace monument but can't find it, would you please provide a link? Thank you.

I see what you're trying to do. You're trying to play devil's advocate. Since Yale-New Haven hospital in New Haven CT doesn't have a 'monument', ergo then Obama doesn't need one either. Huh huh. Problem is only 4 Presidents in our entire history have been born in Hospitals:

- Carter (no monument either, but since the hospital has now been converted into a nursing home, it does honor Lillian Carter. And the National Park Service does honor Carter's boyhood home.)

- Clinton (His birthplace hospital burned down, and since does have a marker)

- G W Bush (No monument and still a working hospital. However, what it does have:

No plaques or monuments mark the hospital as Bush's birthplace, though the communications office does have a 2-page information packet on the birth and the history of the hospital at the time, including a biographical paragraph on the doctor who attended the 43rd president's birth.

"Margaret (Maggie) Tyler, M.D., delivered the president," the packet explains. "Dr. Tyler was a member of the New Haven Hospital and then the Grace–New Haven Hospital medical staff in the department of obstetrics and gynecology from about 1922-1949. She served a residency in obstetrics at New Haven Hospital from 1919-21 and joined the staff in 1922 as an associate obstetrician."

Grasping at straws here hon. Which hospital was Obama born in? Kapiolani? Queens? Which one, and if you can name it prove it because its been documented that Obama has claimed to be born at both.

Then when you prove which particular one it is, does he have what Bush 43 has? An information packet INCLUDING the NAME OF THE DELIVERING DOCTOR?

P.S. Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention like Carter....Bush 43's childhood home is a vacation spot. Where's the vacation spot for Obama's childhood home???? Indonesia perhaps???
