Thanks for the responses. I always knew there was a huge pantheon of New Testament faiths (coptic, orthodox, catholic, anglican, protestant [which comprises a whole set of its own], unitarian, episcopalian, mormon etc.)
I see there are some differences now. For what it is worth I’ve never really quizzed anyone I know too deeply about their faith and relationship with the God of Abraham and/or Jesus. The mormons I know are similar in lifestyle and outlook to the baptists and catholics I know. All are friendly wonderful people who love their country and their families.
Thanks for sharing your opinions it is nice to get a pulse on other members of the conservative movement whom otherwise I wouldn’t be able to talk to. As I’m not a christian it is valuable to see through others eyes (since you guys are the majority in both the country and the movement at large). I have other reasons to disagree with Mr. Romney as our nominee going forward but I see now some of the foundations for an objection based on faith.
They are terrific and wonderful people, totally.
Romneys got no MoJo.
Believer what you want about the Mormons if the anti LDS appeal to you there is not much more that I could say!
