Do not confuse the Military legal system with the joke that is the civilian courts. The military relies on the rule of law, not a “liberal or conservative” judge. The troops know that at the end of the day, they can rely on the integrity of the system, not the leanings of a judge. Since clinton, the military has had a great deal of “PC” issues to deal with, but the law isn’t one of them. mullen and casey are political pawns, the law is not.
By the way, as a young Major, I served on two court-martials,and came away from the experience with a deep respect for the military legal system
