Lately I think it is worthwhile to question every incident, especially the ones which are aspiring to be “significant”.
This is too damn convenient. Barney gets to be noted for an award, he gets to end the story with a pithy little quote, and Barney, who never seems to shut up otherwise, keeps his face shut through the whole argument?
Barney’s buddy gets to sass some guy as “Santa Claus” for no explicated reason and we never hear any more about it?
The two haranguers can’t be located or ID’ed?
Most of tale gets told by “Brooke Sexton”. She might work for a UK retailer. Or she might be the leftist radical in the film “Original Radicals”, editor of Conspire magazine etc. I can’t tell yet. Plus she jumps in from 7 rows back?
