Actually one of the best-made cars on the road. Don’t confuse small with poorly made. It gets safety ratings the equivalent of much larger cars.

I'm not so sure I'd want to be in one when crashing into anything larger than it - especially with a bumper that is higher than the hood (like most pickups and SUVs). The front end of my F150 from bumper to the start of the cabin (where my feet sit) is as big as a smart car (I've driven alongside and parked next to enough of them to see that plain as day).
