Eddie Carroll, an actor who for decades gave voice to Jiminy Cricket in Disney projects and impersonated Jack Benny in a noted one-man stage show, has died. He was 76.
Carroll died Tuesday from a brain tumor at the Motion Picture and Television Fund Hospital in Woodland Hills, said his wife, Carolyn.

If I’m not mistaken, isn’t he the second one to play Jiminey Cricket?
He came to voice the role of Jiminy Cricket in 1973, replacing voice actor Cliff Edward, who died two years earlier.For nearly four decades, Carroll was the voice of Jiminy Cricket in Walt Disney productions including Mickeys Christmas Carol (1983) and Jiminy Crickets Christmas (1986).

You are SO correct - Eddie Carroll did the voice starting in 1975. It was Cliff Edwards from 1940 to 1971.
