I got into an argument once (about universal health care) with a couple of individuals from Britain who a) swore their dental coverage was outstanding and b) had never heard about British teeth being notoriously bad. Claimed I was making the stereotype up on the spot. When I pointed out several British shows making fun of Brits teeth, they said, “Yes, well, we do like to poke fun at ourselves, but that doesn’t mean anything about our teeth.”
Obviously, the rest of their arguments were just as full of holes (yes, pun intended).
There are a lot of brits that live in the Tampa area. I don’t know of one that has good teeth.
British teeth are not as bad as the stereotype makes out.
Too many sweet tooths, but the idea that every Brit has a mouthful of rotting teeth is nonsense. As credible as Jews with big noses or blacks with thick lips.
