Single mothers and divorcees will be allowed to enter the Miss Great Britain beauty contest this year for the first time in its 65-year history. A former communications specialist in the Army is the first divorcee to take advantage of the change in rules. Rachel Hatton, 27, was married for three years until her divorce in 2007 and left the Army last year. She is now hoping to become a professional model. She said: My childhood ambitions were to represent my country as a model soldier and to be a beauty ambassador. I have achieved the first and now I am aiming to fulfil my other dream.
