White House Budget Director Peter Orszag is arguing that the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) underestimates the savings from President Barack Obama's healthcare bill.
CBO, the independent agency Orszag ran before he joined the Obama administration, said the legislation will reduce deficits $143 billion in its first decade and by even more -- roughly 0.25 percent to 0.5 percent of gross domestic product -- in its second decade. That would probably amount to more than $1 trillion in savings, but Orszag considers that a lowball estimate.

Some is passing out crack like it was candy in the WH.
He can say anything he wants. It doesn’t make it true.
CBO can manipulate the base assumptions given it any way it or the Dems like. No assumptions ever pan out as being even nearly correct. Being so politically charged, the assumptions and the results should be accepted with NO credibility at all. All govt. programs, at best, show overruns of 300-500% within a few years. All state healthcare programs show that (TN, Mass, CA, etc).
Aside from the monstrous cost of paying for health management of the public biomass, the fact that so few of us are allowing the yoke of total govt. control of our personal lives from before birth to after death, is astonishing. Nov. 2010 is far away yet in terms of what can occur. When the current administration and our enemies, now our “friends”, would benefit from a cancellation of the Nov. elections for any reason, we are at great risk.
Orszag: CBO lowballs savings from Obama’s sale of the Brooklyn Bridge to the American Taxpayer
What savings? Where in this monstrosity of a bill are there any savings?
If we can take the house we should put orzag under oath.
Yep. Just like the stimulus “saved” jobs. Does anyone believe that you can add 32 million people to a health care entitlement program including putting 15 million on Medicaid [the states pick up half the bill] and cut the deficit? This “loaves and fishes” parable just doesn’t ring true. And these bastards will be out of office when the sh*t really hits the fan.
They like getting their paycheck.

Peter Orszag lies like a rug.
