I don’t understand the complaints.
If a cabal were conspiring to keep the price of a gallon of gas at $1.00 would you be upset?
Yes, if it was costing me $5 on the back end and also not telling me they were doing it so that I’d throw away my money under the then generated false pretenses.
That is an idiotic complaint.
$1.00/gal gas is all well and good ... until the supply abruptly runs out because no one can produce it at that cost. Then you’d be calling for someone’s head, same as the rest of us.
