I am amazed that this sort of thing doesn't happen more often, considering the absolutely devastating effect that allegations of political-incorrectness can have upon a person's life and career.
Perhaps it happens more often than we know, and we're just never told about it.

I had a friend whose son was suspended from grade school for the following exchange that happened at recess. A little black girl touched his face that was red from exertion and said “your face looks like a strawberry” He touched her face and said “Your face looks like chocolate”. A teacher overheard and he was suspended.

Telling a politically incorrect joke in 21st century Britain (or even the west in general) is kind of like criticising the glorious leader in Stalin’s Russia. Last night, I was working with a bunch of other guys at Wal-Mart (when Bush was President, I was a Geotechnical Engineer) re-binding a bale of cardboard that busted, and I happened to be the only white guy. The boss started doing his best Richard Pryor and he was doing an impersonation of me being the “stereotypical white guy”....which I thought was hilarious (I love Richard Pryor). I got to thinking....if a boss had been in there, he might’ve gotten into trouble for that.
