I think he is now overload, has short circuited, and is in a "mental funk". But it would be extremely embarrassing for that to slip out. So they are pulling up the drawbridge and deepening the moat. He is going to go Nixon on us, just watch. And then, based on paranoia or lack of wisdom or stress or megalomania or whatever, he will slip and do the impeachable. Only he wont be answering to a Democrat Senate and House in 2013.

My wife and I were just taking about this very thing this morning. In particular, I told my wife, I believe Palin is toying with this guy to make him blow a head gasket, and totally lose it in public!

You're right! An interesting thing is that this past election, even if it hadn't been Obama, but Hillary had landed the presidency or if McCain had landed it, either one -- the occupant would have had a meltdown, "gone Nixon," pulled a Queeg, caught fire and blown up. Personally, I think Hillary would have been the most fun to watch.

I think the pressure of not being adorned for every word he utters is getting to him. I suspect he is taking something for some “relief” (read booze or drugs) and it is showing in his face. Sometimes he looks quite drained/hungover to me.
