Florida Anchor Barbara West Responds to Controversial Biden Interview
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,444507,00.html
WEST: You may recognize this famous quote: From each according to his abilities to each according to his needs. Thats from Karl Marx. How is Senator Obama not being a Marxist if he intends to spread the wealth around?
BIDEN: Are you joking? Is this a joke?
WEST: No.
BIDEN: Or is that a real question?
WEST: Thats a question.
BIDEN: He is not spreading the wealth around. Hes talking about giving the middle class an opportunity to get back the tax breaks they used to have.
WEST: What do you say to the people who are concerned that Barack Obama will want to turn America into a Socialist country much like Sweden?
BIDEN: I dont know anybody who thinks that, except the far right-wing of the Republican Party.

pardon the misspellings on neoMarxist and appropriate
Corporatist or socialist, what does it matter? We all agree. We don’t want 0bama
“NUTS!”
Yep, a fascist!
On top of that, corporations wield very little influence with this administration. If anything, they're cowering in fear over this guy who is abusing his office to control the marketplace.
The takeover of GM was an act of punishment under a system of fascism.
Fascism and corporatism can be defined using many of the same terms.
I prefer to consider Obama not a socialist but as a Fascist, (capital F), and the reason being the key difference between the classical definition of socialism , and the current fascism, ,,
socialism is about the “utilitarian good of the people as a collective”, and so far Obama has not shown that, instead he has perpetrated a policy of the “utilitarian good of the intertwined corporate and political elite”...
Fascists are... Corporatists who have been shown insolence by the corporate and banking elite. Flip side of same coin.
That coin doesn’t give a rat’s ass about Marxist Socialism beyond the extent of keeping the consumption class consuming and keeping the lower classes in chains in the Cave arguing over the flickering shadows on the walls.
Ron Paul makes similar arguments but I can’t discuss his arugments as I haven’t read much about his low opinion of Obama and the Wall Street fleecing in the last 2 years since he exited the primaries.
No, he’s quite right. “Corporatist” is another word for “Fascist.” I’ve made the case several times on here that he is not a socialist, he is a fascist in the technical sense of the word.
but if he tells the corporations how to run the country, then he is a socialist de facto (fascist), rather than a socialist de jure (communist)
I think he got it right, he’s just using an antiquated term. You would recognize it as Fascist. In fact, the term was used to describe Fascism.
corporatism
1890, from corporate + -ism. Used over the years in various senses of corporate, in 1920s-30s often with ref. to fascist collectivism.
One small issue with your post. Ford did not receive a bailout during this round.
At least Ron Paul wants some accountability with the Fed Reserve. Why bash someone who sees this country going down like the Titanic? We need all the help we can get.
Hes a corporatist, Paul quickly added, meaning the president takes care of corporations and corporations take over and run the country.
Stick a fork in him. He’s done [politically speaking anyway].
In other words, he’s either turning to populism or needs a brain scan.
}:-)4
I heard he was going to bus people in for his appearance! hahahahahah....what a klutz. He is such a weird character.
BTW BO has more Fascist leanings at this point than socialist.
If Ron Paul is a nut, then what is the kenyan marxist pig we call presidente?
This really cracked me up!
