To: Protect the Bill of Rights

Holy crap. Can the WH deny Secret Service protection to an ex-president just because they don’t like where he is going?

If I’m not mistaken, all former Presidents have their own Secret Service Detail for life.

No. No more Secret Service for life. Clinton changed all that to START after he left office. I’m not positive about how many years of security President Bush will get - 5 or 10 - but it is no longer for life.

all former Presidents have their own Secret Service Detail for life.

During the Clinton administration, that policy was changed. It is now 10 years from leaving office, starting with George W. Bush.
