You’re right .. because he wears the mantle of “moderate” - and to MOD-ER-ATE something means to vacillate to whichever place suits you best.

This also means that McCain changes his mind all the time, depending on which forces are aligned for him or against him.

I still say .. he’s too unpredictable .. and with his wife willing to wear a “Hillary pin” during the 2000 campaign - that did it for me.
