That seems like a very good principle to live by but it is not in the scriptures. We need to be sure we are in line with the will of God before we take action. Look what happened when Abraham shortcutted God's promise by taking Hagar. Where we are now in this country is akin to the taking of the promised land. The children of Israel were in the wilderness for 40 years and were instructed to fight for their land that God had given them. They didn't just move in and take over like the Muslims have done in Europe but they had to fight to take the land -- and to hold it. They were warned to purge the land from the unrighteous who lived there in Numbers 33:55
But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
This is where we have gotten in trouble in this country. We have allowed the worshipers of the god of government to flourish in our land and they have vexed us for a hundred years. It is time to run them out. Or as Joshua 23:10 says
One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.
He will fight for us but we need to be engaged in the battle. We need to contend for the faith and for our country.
Well put.
Thanks.
Absolutely right. It shows HOW God fought the battle for His people. He sent them INTO battle at which time they were being approached by a well armed much larger army. God instructed them to start singing praises to Him and it sent the army of God’s enemies into total confusion at which point they starting stabbing and killing each other until they had wiped themselves out. The battle was won without a single injury to God’s people but they still had to go INTO the battle as if they were going to fight it out warrior style. I LOVE that example in the Scriptures and since God is the same yesterday, today and forever, the pattern does not change. CO
