I have an uncle who worked a long wall.
He said the percentage of methane in the air has to be between 5 and 10 percent to explode.
At a fraction of one percent alarms start going off.
At one percent the long wall shuts down.
What happened to the methane sensors?
Why were they able to run the long wall without adequate ventilation?
Were the operators bypassing the sensors?
Why aren't the talking heads asking the right questions?
