The President and First Lady took time out of their busy schedules on Wednesday to sit down for a taping with "American Idol" as part of the hit show's fundraising event set to air next week.
"Idol Gives Back" is a two-hour charity performance that has already raised more than $140 million in contributions for global organizations.

This would be a great chance for someone who can do video production to take some of Simon's best insults and splice together Obama standing there and having to take it.
Point taken, but Bush wasn’t turning my beloved country into a 3rd-world socio-communist toilet, and in turn making me despise his every move...indeed his very existence.
Difference is that the Bush's didn't accept every tv show known to man because they loved themselves so much...therefore, the reaction you are seeing right now. Hard to believe based on Obama's love for himself and his "celebrity-ness" that he's doing this out of the goodness of his heart.

Laura Ingraham said that Obama had wanted to sit in Simon’s. Simon, was not amused.

Hey there, easy....I hope the Obama’s will handle the appearance with the dignity that the Bush’s did. I just get a visual of the CIC jumping up and down and clapping his hands in glee when he found out he would get to be on Idol that gives me the willies. He seems to see himself as some sort of rock star.

This guy is unbelievable. He is on TV every day. I am sick of seeing his face and listening to his lies. Barack Obama has no class, just a need to constantly be the center of attention. What a disgrace to America he is.
