A Scooter and a self-recharging hearing aid?

Stevens is the most liberal member of the court. He's not going to let a Republican replace him.
That’s why I think Obama will nominate Wood.
Chicago politics at its best.
Well, the justices frequently leave at the end of the Supreme Court term in late June or early July. Then their replacements can be confirmed by the traditional 1st Monday in October start of the new term.
If things go smoothly that’s what happens. See if Obama has the stomach for a big battle over getting someone very very liberal confirmed this year.
Only 4 months to stonewall on his replacement, until Senate elections - in a normal govt procedure to turnover USSC
But I doubt the reds (the real reds, who posture in blue states) will honor process anymore than they have done to date
the manipulation swan-song Reid and obama will use to speedily install a replacement, will be another Constitutional debacle
He got ninety years old.
One douchebag liberal out, a new douchebag liberal in.
By the way.. I see Barney Frank will not see reeelection
Seriously, I expected him to retire very soon after Obama's inaguration. I'm surprised he lasted more than a year.
Arlen was promised a position on the Scottish Supreme Court because of his “expertise” in Scots law.
I wonder if Obama will name himself to the court.
But good enough oppo could then lead him to offer up Kagan instead.
Stevens...Barney Frank...Stupak...as the ship sinks.
God help us - as bad as Stevens is- we can be assured the next one will be a real radical.
Honestly I don’t want anybody Obama would nominate.
Oh great I’m watching Fox.. and Chris Wallace says
Obama wants someone with “life experience” like maybe a “politician”
So isn’t it interesting that Barney Frank is now retiring from his seat.
Just in time for Obama to nominate him to the Supreme Court?
Why not?
Is the nominee is yet another radical left Marxist. Filibuster 0bozo's nominee till kingdom come.
Hill?
Is Bart Stupak a possibility?
The timing of the two announcements is suspicious.
“Like experience” like community organizing?
The timing is great for the Republicans. He either has to go with a milquetoast run-of-the-mill statist for an easy confirmation or he goes for a full monty marxist and kills his party in the elections.
Huffington Post already lists Cass Sunstein as a "strong contender" - that one would be fun!
Hey crackhead, why don't you nominate your buddy Cornel West, so we can really have it out!
