Your post #11 is deeply moving. You are obviously loyal to the Church and love it and simply do not understand why it is not behaving as what it claims to be.

As a non-Catholic perhaps I shouldn't say anything. But as an ex-Catholic I know exactly how you feel. All I can say is that I am gratified that I am no longer complicit in what is going on.

It's a very sorry situation where someone with such a love of the Church and very natural expectations is accused of bigotry and bashing just for stating the obvious. Thank you for saying what no non-Catholic can say.

I will admit that I am having doubts about the Church lately, but other denominations have their problems also. I have withdrawn to focus on my own education and am actually happier now than being stuck in “ normal” channels. I have been taking Bible studies with some Protestant friends and they have been great. But just to show the comparison, one pastor ran off with the piano player and one Church ended up with the Music Minister arrested for “bathroom behavior” in a Houston Mall. Misbehavior is everywhere, but these problem were at leased addressed and taken care of. How long was the Kennedy saga allowed to fester?

I agree that chuckles post at #11 was heartfelt, sincere and honest. I responded with what I felt was respect, acknowlegement of valid points and “IMO perspective”. I do wonder if chuckles felt he was the recipient of accusations of “biogtry and bashing” on this thread. I don’t see any and certainly don’t believe that any were intended.
