I think that Mitt should say we tried it because the lefty’s wouldn’t stop demagoging it, they just wouldn’t go away. We did our best to craft something in the looniest state in our union and it simply can not work. We tried. It’s over. Now lets repeal it nationally before we ruin the whole country.
You should have seen when it was proposed and passed how much he puffed himself up in the press about the brilliance of his solution, how hard he’d worked to apply the wisdom of Solomon in coming up with this ingenius solution, how it was the crowning achievement of his administration and how much he believed in it.
