Funny, but Rand Paul is, in terms of his political support, currently the preferred choice of Kentucky Republicans: Rand Paul leads Trey Grayson 42% to 27% amongst Kentucky Republicans.

Trey Grayson is leading amonst only ONE group of Republicans: "Republican Voters who don't own Guns".

So I guess that Grayson is winning the "Please don't hurt me" Defenseless Sheeple vote, and Rand Paul is winning amongst all the other groups of Republicans.

Yes, Rand Paul is leading because he has managed to convince people he is something that he has not with all of his flip flopping on the issues and falsely typecasting Trey Grayson. He is ahead at the moment by being able to convince people he is something that he is not - a conservative. Some bragging rights when your strength of support is based on a foundation of lies.
