Speaking solely for myself, I don't WANT to need to monitor the government every day. I'd like to vote for (and elect) a trustworthy steward, one who occasionally consults with me on matters pertaining to my interests. One who generally has my interests at heart, and who listens when I speak.

Instead, the gov't reminds me more of a three-year-old that's constantly exploring their boundaries. I feel the need to be constantly attentive, to say "NO! Don't touch the cookie jar", then come back two minutes later and find them balancing on a chair, reaching for the cookies again....

I can spank the three-year-old and eventually get the behavior that I'm seeking.

This Novemember, I think, Politicians and Dems in particular are going to going to get the spankings of their lives. I'll be glad to go and cut the switch.

I think the Dims will steal the elections and dare us to do something about it.

"The price of Liberty is eternal vigilance." Thomas Jefferson.

Sorry, but that's just the way it is.
