Most of the high profile jobs in the US require confirmation of a valid birth certificate. I can't imagine that the guy we're giving permission to send troops into harm's way wouldn't be required to meet this basic prerequisite.

It's not crap at all, not at all. It's just basic common sense to confirm that any elected representative is qualified to hold office, and so much more so the Prez of the US.
