It's a sure sign that a government agency has become overmighty when it vastly increases its budget, grabs power unconstitutionally and treats Congress with contempt. All of this applies to the Environmental Protection Agency. Unless Congress acts quickly to curb the EPA's power, it will become a huge drag on the economy. Few bodies are more deserving of cutbacks now. This year, EPA's budget (which had hovered at $7 billion to $8 billion since 1997) increased by 34 percent, to more than $10 billion for the first time ever. The budget increase does not translate into an upsurge in staffing level - which remains lower than its apex of more than 18,000 workers in 1999 - but instead represents much more patronage in the form of grants to states.
This increased patronage comes at a time when the EPA is accruing much more power. Its finding under the Clean Air Act that greenhouse gases endanger public health and welfare goes way beyond the powers of the act. The agency has decided it has the power to:

Hmmm.....top of the list of agencies to defund, beginning Feb. 1st, 2011.
We will not be able to constrain the government until we dissolve the FED and return the money power back to the people.
It’s all about control and taxes....we all use energy 24/7. My tagline will remain until we eradicate this most Dangerous agency.
As far as I’m concerned, every eco-nazi at EPA should be dragged out from behind their desk, taken out back and get .... a severe spanking.
Washington bureaucrats have no concern about the effects their decisions have on working people and industry. They are only concerned with increasing their powers. The EPA is one of the worst and has crippled or ruined many industries, starting with the steel industry in my hometown of Pittsburgh. The EPA, together with many government agencies need to be disbanded. The terminated federal workers can harvest crops, ending the illegal immigrant problem. Then for once in their lives, the former federal workers would be doing something productive and beneficial to the economy.
Elections matter. Vote out Democrats in the November 2010 midterm elections. Voter turnout is usually low at midterms, so conservatives showing up to vote and by backing ($$$) good candidates will make a difference.
