So what if the high guru of the Apple clan makes one, it still suffers from the same reasons that the tablet computer has never caught on as a replacement for a notebook.

I would have thought that the Ford Edsel and the Chevrolet Vega would have taught us all to NOT buy anything when it is just introduced...look how long it has taken to get the PC to where it is today.
The best laid plans of mice, men and computer makers don't always produce a winner right out of the gate.
Patience, my friends, patience...all good things come to those who wait.

She thought that Internet connections were floating out there so all you needed was a laptop to connect to it. When I told her the service runs $40 to $50 a month then she was no longer interested. They are just floating out there, if you know where to go.

I like apple products, but I hate how they retard the early models of something so that they can release it “better” later. I know—it’s business. But it’s annoying.

Bear in mind that the iPad is not intended for or optimized for creating content. It’s intended for viewing content created by someone else. Yes you can type on it, sort of, and people will find all kinds of ways to warp it to do things it wasn’t intended to do, but it is what Apple wanted it to be.
