He’s putting out “feelers” to see how his constituents react. Nothing to see here. Move on.

I actually feel a little bad for the guy. He's a small man who played a big role very badly for a short time.
I personally don't know how he looks himself in the face every morning. He has "coward" branded permanently on his forehead.

When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders. This is why I say there is no comparison between Judas Iscariot and Stupak, for Judas had the decency to comprehend what he had done and showed regret to the fullest extent. The same cannot be said of Stupak, he will never understand his betrayal and will feel no regret. Retiring because he can read the polls is not regret.

RE :”
Could it be that Stupak is too crippled to continue, by selling out to Satan? Is this what will happen ultimately to all men and women who crumble to our leader's demands? Maybe Stupak now needs to be placed at the gate of the temple called “the Beautiful Gate.”
I dont claim to be all knowing :) ..but it seems that he was bluffing all along. He was never prepared to be the Joe Leiberman of the house and kill the bill if need be to stay true to his words. (truthfully we dont know what JL would have done if he was the last vote on a public plan or bill bust, but Leibermann is now even more hated by the liberals than before and got the public plan killed.)

Some of these POS statists should be allowed to resign and go back to their families. Others should be tried for treason.

Not to worry Stupak, we’ll all remember who you are and what you did, regardless of your employment status.

Yes, me too! It takes a very big man (or woman!) to go up against our current dark administration. They need Divine assistance to pull it off.

Told ya...he wants to run for Gov here in Mich.
REALLY? He wants to run as a Democrat after what Jenny Granholm has done to the economy over the past eight years?
When even Michael Moore is predicting that Michigan’s next Governor is gonna be a Republican?
Is Bart really up for two major ass-whoopins in one year??
To: mlizzy
What was it Bart? A Swiss bank account? A Carribean bank account compliments of George Soros??

I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt, and say he was pressured, prodded, and possibly even threatened. But maybe you've got it right ... it's discouraging ...

When I say he was bluffing I wasnt disagreeing with you. He may have thought he could bluff his way to a better bill, but in the end they told him the current bill was the only option for Obama (or failure) which it was, and 'you are against us or with us'.
