Is there a single industry left in this country that the Obama administration hasnt set out to destroy?
The illegal labor market seems pretty safe for now.

Will the firms who did this also get slapped for hiring illegals in the first place?Never mind the employees wages. They're lucky to get paid at all. They don't belong here anyway. The employers are working against the people of their own country, and I think they should pay a heavy price for it.
No hiring illegals. Stop the incentives. Stop the invasion.
To: concerned about politics
Unfortunately I suspect the SEIU is waiting in the wings to make sure the illegals won’t feel any pain or even lose their jobs.

Starting from 4 months ago or so, in San Francisco illegals pulled over and found not to have a driver’s license are given a mobile cell phone call to a friend, and then 30 minutes of waiting time for a friend to come and drive their car away.
All others must submit to TOWING —something that costs about $400 (a year ago).
This is special treament.
I also heard that after Cinqo de Mayo, there will be no sobriety checkpoints in the Mission District cuz of allegations of “ethnic targeting”. 2 years ago about HALF of all drivers were completely drunk, and it was pandimonium (at night).
After the word gets out I shudder to contemplate what it will be like this year...

The full scale assault on Americans has begun. If these employers are hiring illegal aliens and paying them less than they would otherwise pay an American Citizen for the same work, then I frankly am all for the government going after them and closing them down.

Indeed it is.
Absolutely disgusting what this nation has come to. Can we ever get this ship righted or is too much damage done? Sadly, I think the latter is now true.

They aren't closing them down, they are fighting on behalf of people who are here illegally taking the jobs of Americans.
Does anyone doubt a full scale amnesty is next? Soon Americans will be prosecuted for speaking out against illegals.

On the one hand, if the employers are illegally underpaying their employees, they should have to pay... And should be penalized in they've hired illegal aliens. And said illegal aliens that file the suits should then be arrested and deported.

Last fall some 1200 illegal janitors working in Minneapolis were busted. The SEIU stepped in and made sure there was no real punishment for the illegals but I bet the companies that hired them are hurting today.

And if I seek American Rights I am a racist? No, that would make you a 'nativist'. Maybe a 'nationalist'.
:-)
But, trust liberals not to pay much attention. Words don't mean anything, anymore.

Did Obama meet with his black ministers yet? There’s not much that the black and Hispanic constituencies would agree on for immigration—but not having underpaid illegals undercut low-skill black workers on wages might be one of them.
To: cripplecreek
Yup. One sided justice from the obama administration.

A new front has been opened in the class warfare struggle.
Cloven-piven.
BTW did you hear about the restrictive conditions that prevent us from using nukes>
Cloven-piven
same with “the tea party is R”
A treaty with Putin next week.
Last week it was dissing bibi.
And dont forget “the WH scolds Karzai.”
Now, it’s pitting illegals vs business owners.
Health care is moving off center stage. But keep manufacturing “crises”.
We are in the midst of events being orchestrated according to Cloven=Piven.
Stay steady.

If employers can't hire illegals at substandard wages, they won't hire them at all. It simply wouldn't be worth it any more.
Course maybe that's a good thing.

The illegals had better be careful on this one. If they start using our laws int he way that many of our fellow citizens do they will be become just as unemployed.
Working off the books is a logical extension of being here illegally but working off the books and employing people off the books is a time honored practice by citizens as well. It is not a practice confined to illegals.
With all of the new entitlements and entitlement expansions, not to mention taxes, the incentive to go underground has increased dramatically.
To: TokuMei
Do you really think illegals will turn in there empoyers? If they do this who is going to hire them??
I say sent illegals home and put employeers in jail for hiring in first place the Government knows who these employer are don’t kid yourself.

Why is this a bad idea? It exposes the employers who are hiring illegal immigrants (which IS illegal) and paying them below minimum wage (also illegal).
Unless I’ve read it wrong....This is simply following laws already on the books.

Yes. They have the backing of the SEIU and will very likely end up making even more money.
