The hunt is on for two prisoners one of them a convicted murderer from Harris County who escaped today from a state prison in Frio County.
Authorities believe the two men, both Mexican citizens, cut through a perimeter fence.
Around 7 a.m., officials at the Briscoe Unit in Dilley noticed the men were not in the prisons furniture factory where they worked, said Jason Clark, spokesman for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
A search in the unit began. Then officials realized the men had likely left the prison by cutting through a fence, Clark said.
It appears the men, Jose Bustos-Diaz, 21, and Octavio Ramos Lopez, 27, fled on foot.
Harris County court documents show that Bustos-Diaz pleaded guilty to killing Deborah Kay on Jan. 30, 2005. Bustos-Diaz was 16 at the time of the murder, but was tried as an adult and sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Something is up here. There were two separate attacks on Mexican prisons to free certain inmates. Then there were coordinated attacked on Mexican army bases by the drugthugs. Might be planning a big spash somewhere.
Maybe they are just getting all weeweed up about the talk of amnesty.
Texas should know a Mexican’s first instinct when they see a fence is to climb over it.
Are they using the same invisible fence they have on the border?
Or go through it.
