Calling it “Comiskey” is no gaffe, it’s actually good - plenty of real fans do that out of habit (old Comiskey was there practically from the beginning of baseball time, and new park was originally named Comiskey) or plain refuse to say “Cellular Field.” But there is no excuse for not being able to name a player - lame, even for the Lame-o-in-Chief
He called it CoMINskey.
But he didn’t say “Comiskey”. He said “Cominsky”, with an “n” in it. He didn’t know how to pronounce it, that’s why it’s a major gaffe. If he’s really such a big baseball fan and White Sox fan, he would never misprounce the name of the ballpark.
And the president speaks and enunciates very well. He never slurs his speech or misprounounces, at least in public. The bottom line is that he didn’t know the name of the ballpark he allegedly knew about.
