We now know that he isn't playing for the home team. He may like the Sox because the GM’s (Kenny Williams) dad was a Black Panther. In the last couple of weeks, Ozzie, the manager, made some rather nasty remarks about Chavez in his native Venezuela which must have been “troublesome” to Obama. He did know who the owner of the Sox was which is weird. He can't name a player, but he does know the owners name.

With that arm he couldn't have played for the Baltimore Black Sox!

The Baltimore Black Sox were a professional baseball team based out of Baltimore, Maryland which played in the Negro Leagues. The Black Sox started as an independent team in 1916 by George Rossiter and Charles Spedden. They were one of the original six teams to make up the Eastern Colored League in 1923.

In 1929, The Black Sox boasted the "Million Dollar Infield" of Jud "Boojum" Wilson (first baseman), Frank Warfield (second baseman), Oliver "Ghost" Marcelle (third baseman) and Sir Richard Lundy (shortstop). The nickname was given to them by the media because of the prospective worth had they been white players. The Black Sox won over 70% of their games during the 1929 season and won the American Negro League Championship.

During their only season in the East-West League, the Black Sox won the league championship.

In 1933, Joe Cambria took over ownership of the team and moved it into Gus Greenlee's new Negro National League. During that same year, the team moved its home games to Bugle Field. The team only lasted one year and disbanded. In 1934, another team entered the league using the Black Sox name, but it didn't meet with much success and disbanded after only one year.

On 6 September 2007, the Baltimore Orioles wore Black Sox uniforms in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Black Sox' 1932 championship season.

Calling it “Comiskey” is no gaffe, it’s actually good - plenty of real fans do that out of habit (old Comiskey was there practically from the beginning of baseball time, and new park was originally named Comiskey) or plain refuse to say “Cellular Field.” But there is no excuse for not being able to name a player - lame, even for the Lame-o-in-Chief

>>Least qualified guy in any room he walks into, on any subject being discussed, including baseball.<<

Except when Old Joe is in the room. Then 0bambi is Einstein by comparison.

So he’s invited to throw out the first pitch at a Nationals game, comes out in a Nationals jacket, puts on a White Sox cap at the last second and throws. He’s an ass and that’s just rude.

The pencil-necked communist just may have meant "Alinsky".

Dibble should have nailed him with some questions about Joe Rudi, Gene Tenace or Rollie Fingers and REALLY watched him start to fluster!

(of course I once knew a girl who was related to Rollie Fingers and had absolutely no idea who he was...”I think he played pro baseball or something”....)

I was probably born a little later than you, and I’m a Cubs fan, not a Sox fan. I could sarcastically answer the question about how many Sox players I could name with the answer “None! They all sucked!” But, I do remember Carlton Fisk, Eric Soderholm, Harold Baines and Ron Kittle from the days when I really started following baseball.

But if you asked me my favorite Cubs players, I could tell you the entire lineup and rotation for the 1984 Chicago Cubs, and most of their reserves.

0bama is such a pandering whore it’s really disgusting. And he throws like a sissy girl.

I liked his characterization of Cubs fans a sippers of wine in the stands. Only a dedicated lefty could bring class warfare to the National Pass Time.
