Constance McMillen, the Mississippi teen suing her high school over a ban on same-sex couples attending the prom, thought the worst might be over when the school agreed to a private dance to be held off school property. But when she and her date arrived at the Fulton Country Club on Friday night, they found only seven other students.
"She didn't stay very long because of the sparse attendance," Kristy Bennett, her legal counsel, told msnbc.com.
"We've heard there was another event out in the county," said Bennett, legal director for the Mississippi branch of the American Civil Liberties Union.

So what does the ACLU intend to do? Try to get a judge to penalize the students for having a secret prom that Constance wasn't invited to?
Also, I found the Facebook page referred to in the article. It needs Freeping.

Heh heh! That is what I call a good bait and switch. Good for those students.
Family values and wholesomeness win again. There is hope for this sick world.

"She didn't stay very long because of the sparse attendance," In otherwords the audience wasn't big enough so she left. Serves the queer right that the other normal students snubbed her.

Funny, this sounds like the old Woody Allen line, that he would not want to be a member of a club that would allow him to be a member.

...a private dance to be held off school property.
Getting what you asked for doesn't always correspond with getting what you want. Hopefully the lesson is learned.

Have private parties and EXCLUDE her.
Direct her to “gay” kids to have their own party.

The ‘light in the loafers’ gang all pretty much seem to think this way.

This confused teen and Anthony Romero, the “openly gay” president of the ACLU, are not “fighting for tolerance.” They are attempting to shove the homosexual agenda down America's collective throat (bad pun intended). A private party held by her classmates = freedom of association, a constitutionally protected right. Another way to put it is, the normal kids have a right not to be inflicted with sex perverts.
To: Repeat Offender
In otherwords the audience wasn't big enough so she left.Exactly. They gave her what she wanted.... but unfortunately the other kids weren't going to play the game by her rules.
Reality stinks sometimes.....and it's a good teacher.

Constance seems to think the world revolves around her. This whole issue is about how the world should revolve around Constance and what she wants.
