It's for the reasons you cite that the US Congress will not be able to resist "regulation".

Still, the National Communications Infrastructure honcho's at DCA COULD seize all "telecommunications assets" in a "National Emergency".

Alas, if I were AT&T, Verizon, Sprint et al, I'd be looking to SELL the assets. The best they'll be able to do over the long-term is a 12% rate of return...just like the old ma Bell.

Mayb Zero should offer to lift the non existent ban on the Internet in exchange for a partial ban, and complete control.
