Very, very good news.

The backbone providers are NOT a collective entity. They're in business to make money.

If further law/regulation succeeds in some other form of "net neutrality", the big backbone provider should just turn off their routers and fiber repeaters.

First for an hour a day...increasing each day until they reach 24hrs.

Yep. Roger that.

The commies need to figure out the internet controls everything and the folks that control internet should not be pizzed off. If the backbones are shut off you can't buy gas, groceries, go eat at a restaurant etc and pay with a credit card. Cash only. No big deal, just go to an ATM, right? Guess again. ATM = internet connection.

Try something a bit bigger... metropolitan traffic controls. Yea, the mother of all traffic jams.

Manufacturing? Nope. JIT manufacturing communicates on internet connections.

Transportation and trucking? Nope. 18 wheelers gotta buy fuel and that means satellite uplinks to... internet.

Now, try something even bigger, electric grid. Uh-huh, many of the sub-stations and switching stations talk to each other via... internet.

Yep. SkyNet without guns, "because they don't need them."

What? And be in breech of contract to their customers? As long as they have the ability to provide their service, they have to provide their service to all those who’ve signed a contract with the provider.

IE: I paid for this d@#n service, now pony it up or return the money.
