Arpaio gets inmates moving on electricity generating cycles (Shocking!)

PHOENIX -- Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is implementing a new inmate program at Tent City Jail called “Pedal Vision.”

The program uses inmate-powered cycles to generate electricity for televisions.

I doubt it would work. AC consumes so much power that you would probably be cooler just sitting still in the heat.

Hope that a future “progressive” administration, in the name of job creation, does not offer mass pedal positions to select members of the general populace in regard to future “local” energy generation policy yet to be articulated...e.g. “power generating exercise classes”? Imagine drum type scenery with heroic, inspirational music rolling thru your local govt. participatory headset as you pedal, a symbolic clay sandwich in your pocket to remind you of the reward at the end of your 8 hour session.

While we smile at the great Arpaio, others might make us pay for smiling.
